New Washington Community Founded: Market Street Garden

We’d like you all to welcome the newest member of our green family, the Market Street Garden, located in Tacoma, Washington. Market Street Garden is led by Allison Wilson, a gardening enthusiast and volunteer at the University Y Student Center. The Community has gotten permission from the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties to use 50 square feet of their property at the Center as a vegetable garden and maintain smaller flower beds throughout the campus. The community is starting off strong with 24 members and hopes to attract more participation from YMCA members.

Student 365

Hello, my name is Student 365 and I'm working toward a Web Assistant II certificate at PCC. I graduated from PSU with a BA in German, minoring in Classical Studies and Spanish. I've done various types of freelance work, namely private tutoring, math curriculum design, editing, and translating. Web assistance was more of a hobby to help out a couple family members, but now I'd like to use that interest to open myself up to more online job opportunities, particularly in front-end design. I enjoy reading up on nutrition and healthy recipes, going for walks, and spending time with my husband and cat.
