New Washington Community Founded: Market Street Garden

We’d like you all to welcome the newest member of our green family, the Market Street Garden, located in Tacoma, Washington. Market Street Garden is led by Allison Wilson, a gardening enthusiast and volunteer at the University Y Student Center. The Community has gotten permission from the YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties to use 50 square feet of their property at the Center as a vegetable garden and maintain smaller flower beds throughout the campus. The community is starting off strong with 24 members and hopes to attract more participation from YMCA members.
